The process
From site survey to switch-on.
Every install starts with an engineering review of your panel, loads, and goals — then we handle design, permits, licensed installation (C-10 Electrical or General “B” as required), inspection, and utility approval. You get a personalized written estimate and California’s required Solar Energy System Disclosure Document before anything is signed.

How much does a Powerwall installation cost?+
It depends on how many units you need, your electrical panel, and whether you’re pairing it with new solar. SGIP rebates can offset a meaningful share for eligible homes. We give you a personalized written estimate — with your rebate eligibility checked — before you commit to anything.
Can I add Powerwall to my existing solar system?+
Usually, yes — Powerwall can be retrofitted to most existing solar installations regardless of the original installer. We’ll confirm compatibility during the site assessment.
How many Powerwalls do I need?+
Essential-loads backup often works with one; whole-home backup or larger homes may take two or more. We size it from your actual usage data and outage priorities, not a one-size template.
I’m on a municipal utility like SMUD — do the rebates apply to me?+
SGIP is funded by customers of California’s investor-owned utilities (PG&E, SCE, SDG&E), so municipal-utility homes aren’t SGIP-eligible. Municipal customers may have programs or rate options of their own — we’ll walk you through exactly what applies to your address.
